What are Life Groups?

Davies Group 2.JPG

Life Groups are small groups where we can:

Gather by meeting up and sharing life together

Grow as followers of Jesus

Go by reaching out to others, welcoming newcomers, and planting new groups

What are the groups like?

·        They meet for 1 ½ or 2 hours

·        They usually have about 5-14 members

·        Most meet weekly but with social events and breaks, too

·        A typical meeting includes:

o       Gathering together possibly with a meal and some time to worship

o       Growing together by studying the Bible and praying for each other

o       Going together by sharing the good news

What does being in a Life Group involve?

·        There’s no official commitment, but over time you’ll get the best out of a Life Group by giving of yourself, building relationship and being open to newcomers

·        We encourage people to commit to a Life Group as a key part of being a St Paul’s member

·        You can choose the level of involvement, but there’ll be plenty of opportunities to grow, serve, reach out and be developed in your gifts

When I first moved over to England from Vancouver, Canada, a friend had recommended that I check out St Paul's and within the first few weeks I had been invited along to a Life Group. Right away everyone in the Life Group made me feel extremely welcome and there was such an excitement within the group to get involved in everything that was going on at St Paul's. Each week I would look forward to Tuesday evenings where we would all get together to grow closer to God, encourage one another, and deepen our friendships. Within just a few months we have already become such a tight knit group and I feel so extremely blessed to have found such an awesome group of friends! It has really made me feel at home here at St Paul's and I would recommend anyone new to the Church or to London to join a Life Group as well!
