W6 Youthworks is a youth project set up by St Paul's Church in 2007 which supports socially excluded and disadvantaged young people in Hammersmith & Fulham encouraging them to develop into well-balanced, confident and secure young adults.
By providing 'somewhere to go and something to do' for groups of young people W6 Youthworks creates an alternative to the destructive environments that inner city youth often find themselves in.
As a project of The St Paul's Centre, W6 Youthworks is 'faith based but not faith biased' and the team is passionate about making sure activities are accessible to as wide a group of young people as possible.
The project was made possible by an initial grant from the Bishop of London Mission Fund and continues to rely on the generous support of trusts, businesses and individuals.
W6 Youthworks runs The Bridge youth club, as well as all sorts of projects such as bike maintenance courses, and we are soon to launch the O:Zone - an after school club. Each year teams enter the SNAC challege where young people are challenged, by the local police, to come up with their own projects to make their neighbourhoods safer.
