Family Life courses are provided by Insights for Life, an initiative which has grown out of St Paul's Hammersmith. Whilst these courses are based on Christian understanding and values, they are particularly geared towards the wider community. Therefore, Christian teachings are more implicit in the course material, than explicit. All are welcome to attend.
As 2 become 3
As couples await the birth of their first child, there is much excitement and anticipation. It is a special time, but also one which raises pressures and issues that have not surfaced previously. As 2 become 3 course is designed for couples expecting their first child. It brings light to some of the changes ahead as the family expands, specifically focussing on the couple relationship and the practicalities of impending parenthood. Topics include Identity, Roles and Work, Running out of Time, Money Matters, Sex During and After Pregnancy, Parents and In-Laws, Approaching the Birth-Day for Dads, and more. The course is run by Bob and Jess Read who have four children of their own and have been married for over 20 years. Bob comes from a training background and Jess is a midwife with experience in parent education. The course is is held in West London and runs over one full Saturday, from 10am to 4pm. Personality & Couples
Do you wonder why you and your partner sometimes click so well together, and then at times seem to clash? No matter how short or long you've been together, there will always be something more to discover about each other. The Personality & Couples course helps you to discover more about yourself, your other-half, and helps you to understand the different ways you approach issues like communication, change, work, stress and money. By understanding each other, you can then be armed with the different tools you need to help you deal with the practical issues of life. The course is run by Sarah Perrott who has expertise in individual growth and development, and experience as a practitioner of personality tools. The Personality & Couples course is is held in West London and runs over one full Saturday, from 10am to 4pm. The next course will be held on Saturday 6th May.
