The Shack - William P. Young    In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant The Shack wrestles with the timeless question, 'Where is God in a world filled with unspeakable pain?'  In the story, a young girl is abducted during a family holiday and there is evidence that she may have been brutally murdered in an abandoned shack deep in the wilderness.  Four years later her father receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack.  Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare.  What he finds there will change his life forever!  A gripping, intelligent and challenging work of fiction.

'Captivating', subtitled 'Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul - John & Stasi Eldridge is the welcome new female counterpart of 'Wild at Heart'.  Those who are familiar with that book will be delighted to discover a similar unravelling of the basic nature God created in woman and how it fits into His plan for relationship between the sexes and our respective roles on earth.  How comforting to discover that the dreams and desires that we have harboured since our girlhood, to be appreciated and sought after, have a purpose.  Furthermore, they are valid expressions of created womanhood.  Stasi is disarmingly honest about her own experiences of life and this book will encourage women to live out their femininity freely in the way God intended.
