CHILDREN AND FAMILIES INTERN/ASSISTANT (Fixed term approximately 9 months, Part Time – Term Time March – June and September – December )

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Children and Families Assistant who has a deep Christian faith, and loves working with children and families. This would suit someone who would like to deepen their experience of working within Children and Family Ministry in an urban Church setting.
CityKids is an exciting children’s ministry where children aged 0-11 can receive and engage with the lifechanging word of God. It is presented to them in an age appropriate way, helping them to encounter Father God and build relationships with others. CityKids will experience worship, prayer, games, snacks, prizes, and most importantly the Word of God that will help shape their lives.
As the Children and Families Intern, you will assist with the overall vision and mission of St Paul`s Hammersmith. Therefore, during this time, it will be important that you are an active member of our congregation. You will work closely with our Children and Families Pastor to ensure that all development and administration of materials and content are ready in a timely fashion, supporting and leading Sunday activities, training and supporting volunteers, and development of new ministry practices.
You will be an important part of the Ministry team of St Paul’s Church and Centre, reporting to the Children and Families Pastor in expanding the CityKids vision, supporting the volunteer teams and assisting with the practical aspects of the CityKids Ministry activities.
For the right individual, this is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the day to day running of a dynamic and spirit led children`s ministry, have personal responsibility for spiritual, administrative and practical aspects and grow in your calling as you support CityKIds.
There is an occupational requirement that the jobholder is a Christian under the Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. The post holder will take an active part in the spiritual day to day mission of the Organisation.
