    Role Purpose

    This role provides leadership and strategic oversight for Saint Paul’s property and commercial development portfolio. It will drive major capital projects, develop sustainable revenue streams, and build the church’s long-term property strategy in alignment with its mission and values.

    Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the postholder will lead on Project Ezra (the major building development plan), advance the formation of a Staff Housing and Property Trust Portfolio, and explore commercial opportunities that strengthen financial sustainability. The role requires strong strategic, relational, and technical skills to translate vision into deliverable plans within a complex heritage and governance context.

    Key Responsibilities

    Property Strategy and Development

    • Lead and coordinate Project Ezra from design to delivery, aligning scope, budget, and mission.

    • Develop a comprehensive property strategy that integrates ministry needs and future growth.

    • Oversee redevelopment plans for the sanctuary, office facilities, and potential new builds.

    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Head of Finance & Governance to create financially viable and mission-aligned business models.

    Planning, Compliance and Governance

    • Manage all Church of England faculty processes and liaise with the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC).

    • Ensure compliance with planning and heritage requirements (Historic England, LBHF Council, TfL, Parks Department, and others).

    • Develop robust governance frameworks for capital projects, reporting regularly to the PCC, Standing Committee, and Property Governance Group.

    • Prepare papers, briefings and presentations to support decision-making and transparency.

    Commercial Opportunities and Income Generation

    • Identify and develop sustainable revenue streams from the St Paul’s site, including:

    o Car parking and site usage

    o Advertising and sponsorship potential

    o Commercial hires and partnerships

    o Grants and external funding for building works

    • Work closely with the Head of Finance & Governance on financial modelling, and with the Head of Logistics on operational delivery.

    • Assess new commercial initiatives for alignment with the church’s ethos and long-term strategy.

    • Support applications for public and charitable funding to enable capital development.

    Stakeholder and External Engagement

    • Serve as primary contact for architects, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.

    • Build strong working relationships with the Diocese of London, LBHF Council, Historic England, TfL, and community partners.

    • Represent Saint Paul’s with professionalism, clarity and integrity in all external relationships.

    • Foster internal communication and collaboration across staff and ministry teams.

    Financial and Project Oversight

    • Support the development of viable business plans, cashflow modelling and risk analysis for major projects.

    • Work with the Head of Finance & Governance to manage budgets, procurement, and contractual agreements.

    • Contribute to the formation and management of the Staff Housing and Property Trust Portfolio, including acquisition and stewardship planning.

    Internal Property Projects

    • Oversee smaller property works requiring faculty approval or governance sign-off.

    • Partner with the Head of Logistics to plan phasing, site impact, and operational delivery.

    • Maintain clear documentation, risk registers, and reporting within Operations HQ.

    Person Specification

    Role Purpose

    The Head of Communications & Creative Media leads the creative and communication life of Saint Paul’s, giving strategic vision, direction, and oversight to how we tell our story across digital, print, visual, and in-person environments.

    The postholder will carry responsibility for shaping the creative identity of the church, developing and implementing a unified communication strategy, and building a sustainable in-house team that delivers content with excellence. They will combine big-picture thinking with hands-on creative skill, and bring teams, ministries, and voices together around a coherent and compelling narrative.

    This role sits as the senior leader of the Communications & Creative Media Department, working closely with the Senior Pastor and Senior Leadership Team.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Vision & Strategic Leadership

    • Lead the development and implementation of a church-wide Communications & Creative Media Strategy.

    • Give clear direction on brand voice, visual identity, tone, and storytelling frameworks.

    A key part of this vision is our work with young people. Our youth vision is centred on young people encountering God, awakening schools, and seeing a generation fully alive in Christ. Around 30–40 young people regularly engage with our youth ministry, and a further 20-30 regularly attend Sunday Services. They are supported by Our Youth Pastor, assistant youth leader and a passionate and committed core team of volunteers. We believe that investing in the next generation is vital for the renewal of the Church and the transformation of our city. Hammersmith and Fulham is full of teenagers and schools, and it’s our intention to see significant growth in reaching young people with the good news of Jesus.

    As we prepare for the growth we are beginning to see in both depth and number, a key priority is to support our youth team by strengthening the operational foundations of our youth ministry to ensure it is safe, scalable, and sustainable.

    Role Purpose

    The Youth Operations and Safeguarding Manager will provide operational leadership for the youth ministry at Saint Paul’s Hammersmith. This role exists to release the Youth Pastor to focus on vision, discipleship, and relationships by ensuring that the systems, structures, safeguarding, and volunteer pathways that underpin the ministry are robust and excellent.

    This is an operational leadership role serving ministry. The post holder will translate vision into strategy, build scalable systems, oversee safeguarding practice, and develop clear and compelling volunteer processes that enable the youth ministry to grow in both number and health.

    Working closely with the Youth Pastor, this role will help build a youth ministry that is known for safety, integrity, clarity, and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    Volunteer Recruitment, Onboarding and Development

    • Design and oversee the full volunteer journey, from recruitment, deployment, ongoing development and exiting well.

    • Work with the Youth Pastor to identify volunteer needs and growth plans.

    • Lead onboarding processes including safer recruitment, role clarity, training pathways, and induction.

    • Coordinate rotas and team structures to ensure healthy, well-supported volunteer teams.

    • Run practical training sessions for volunteers, particularly around safeguarding, event leadership, mentoring boundaries, and operational procedures.

    Youth Ministry Operations and Events

    Role Overview:

    As a Site Support Team Member, you will play a crucial role in the logistical and hospitality aspects of our church services and events. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Venue Preparation: Setting up and resetting chairs and equipment for services and events.

    • Opening and Closing: Ensuring the church is securely opened before and locked after events.

    • Health & Safety: Monitoring the premises to ensure safety protocols are followed.

    • Hospitality Support: Assisting the Hospitality Team in welcoming attendees and addressing any queries.

    • Grounds Patrol: Regularly checking the church grounds to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

    Working Hours:

    This is a casual role offering flexible hours based on your availability. Support is primarily required on Sundays, with additional opportunities during midweek events, including weekday evenings and occasional daytime activities. Typical shift patterns include:

    • Sunday Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

    • Sunday Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM

    • Daytime Activities: Occasionally required to support events during weekdays, as needed.

    Helping people feel welcome at Saint Paul’s Hammersmith

    Reports to: Director of Operations

    What’s the Role?

    We’re looking for someone to sit at our front desk and be a warm, friendly face to everyone who comes into the church during the week.

    You’ll help people find where they need to go, take in deliveries, and make sure the building feels welcoming and calm.

    What You’ll Do

    • Smile and say hello to everyone who comes in

    • Point people in the right direction – to the café, meeting rooms, or charity spaces

    • Be kind and approachable to anyone who needs a bit of help

    • Take in deliveries and let the café or staff know

    That’s it! Just be present, friendly, and helpful.

    You don’t need experience, just a warm heart and a willingness to be there. Ideally, you are:
