Congratulations
We’re so excited you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus. We’d love to support you in your next steps as you embark on this
life long journey of discipleship.
Below are some resources and ideas of how develop rhythms and learn how following Jesus can impact your everyday life.
-
Step 1: Pray - Prayer is simply talking to God. He is not far off, the Bible talks of him being a
good Father who loves to connect with his children (James 4:8, Revelation 3:20, II
Corinthians 6:16-18). Find a space away from distraction and tell God what you’re thinking
and feeling. You might want to write it down or say it outloud, whatever feels comfortable to
you, then be still for a few minuets and allow God to speak to you. He will speak, maybe in a
random thought you have, or an image that suddenly comes to mind, or a feeling of peace. It
can look and feel like many things.Step 2: Read the Bible - We believe that the bible is the inspired Word of God and the best
place to get to know the heart and character of God. Its a big book, so we’d recommend you
start in the New Testament with one of the books we call the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke
or John). You can find plans to help you work through and reflect on the Bible in apps like
YouVersion or websites like Bible Project.Step 3: Get Baptised - Baptism is a public declaration of the inward choice you’ve made to
follow Jesus. It’s at the heart of an amazing journey of faith as a follower of Jesus. We
welcome anyone to be baptised who has begun this new life with Jesus and has begun
regularly attending one of our Sunday onsite gatherings. If you would like to be baptised or
would like to renew the baptism vows taken on your behalf as a child, you can click here for
more information. -
